##### Polynomials 1

• Understanding the language of polynomials to process different operations
• Solving polynomials using long division to express in terms of its division transformation
• Using the Remainder Theorem to solve polynomial expressions

Day 2

##### Polynomials 2

• Using the Factor Theorem to simplify and solve polynomial expressions
• Factorising a polynomial of degree 3 to solve x
• Factorising a polynomial of degree 4 to solve x
• Graphing of polynomial expressions using single, double and triple roots

Day 1

##### Quadratic Equations 1

• Factorise quadratic expressions, y =ax2+bx+c
• Solve quadratic equations, ax2+bx+c=0 using factorisation techniques.
• Solve a variety of quadratic equations by completing the square.

Day 2

##### Quadratic Equations 2

• Solve quadratic equations using the quadratic formula.
• Use the discriminant to describe the roots of a quadratic equation.
• Solve a variety of equations reducible to quadratic equations.

• Solve problems involving exact ratios for angles of 30, 45 and 60 degrees.

• Solve practical problems involving the sine and cosine rules.

Richard studied a combined Bachelor of Science (Applied Mathematics) and Engineering at the University of Sydney. He has taught primary and high school mathematics since 2017.

##### Ms Swathi Balaji

Swathi studied a combined Bachelor of Education (Secondary Mathematics) and Arts at Macquarie University . She has had over three years of teaching experience.

##### Mr Anthony Nguyen

Anthony completed his Masters in Teaching in 2017. He currently teaches full time at a partially selective high school in Sydney’s South in addition to teaching at Matrix.

##### Mr Stepan Bashkirov

Stepan studied a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering at the University of New South Wales. His teaching experiences include lab demonstrating at UNSW and delivering coding tutorials for primary and high school students.
