Casual Teachers (VIC)

We are now hiring Melbourne’s best Teachers in English, Maths or Science to join us at our award winning Box Hill campus.

As a casual Teacher, you will have your regular classes each week (from 4:30pm on weekdays), and have the opportunity to pick up substitute teaching shifts. All lessons and assessments are prepared for you, so there is minimal preparation required.

This role is ideal for anyone who is a subject matter expert, who can explain things clearly and is passionate about their area of expertise! Our team is a diverse group of high school and primary Teachers, corporate professionals, university teaching staff and post graduate candidates.

What you’ll do…

• Teaching regular weekly classes throughout the academic term (all lesson materials and resources are prepared for you),
• Teaching opportunities available on weekdays during the VIC school holiday period,
• Ongoing monitoring of student’s academic progress through marking of short weekly quizzes,
• Flagging of struggling students to academic team leaders for additional academic mentoring.

What you’ll need…

• Possess a genuine passion for teaching,
• Previous experience teaching secondary English, Maths or Science in a classroom setting,
• Have extensive knowledge of the current VCE curriculum in your subject area,
• Have completed their degree in Education or a related discipline.
