Graphic Designer

Matrix Education is hiring a Graphic Designer to join the Marketing Team at our Sydney CBD head office.

As the Graphic Designer plays a key role in delivering visually engaging, brand aligned creative for Matrix’s marketing channels. This role requires a strong eye for detail, a deep understanding of digital design, and the ability to interpret brand guidelines creatively. You’ll be responsible for producing high converting ad creatives (especially for Meta platforms), campaign assets, and supporting visual content that resonates with our student and parent audience.

Reporting to the Brand and Creative Lead, this role is ideal for a conceptual thinker who can take a brief and create polished, on-brand design outcomes that will drive Matrix’s brand awareness and growth. What you’ll do…

  • Design performance driven digital ad creatives, particularly for Meta platforms, that align with brand tone and messaging.
  • Update and maintain website content using WordPress, ensuring visuals, layout, and navigation reflect UX/UI best practices.
  • Collaborate with the content and digital teams to improve page design, user flow, and visual storytelling on key landing pages.
  • Develop campaign assets across digital and print, including social posts, email banners, posters, and event collateral.
  • Use Canva and/or Adobe to produce and adapt marketing templates for internal team use.
  • Maintain design systems, templates, and visual consistency across platforms.

 

What you’ll need…

  • 2–4 years of graphic design experience, with a strong portfolio across digital channels.
  • Proven ability to create effective Meta ad creatives with performance outcomes in mind.
  • Hands on experience using WordPress for website updates, content layout, and simple styling changes.
  • Understanding of UX/UI principles and how design impacts web user experience.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, PhotoShop, Illustrator), Canva, and Figma.
  • Familiarity with responsive design, mobile first considerations, and accessibility standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to prioritise across multiple projects.
