As an Email Marketing & Automation Specialist , you will use your experience and expertise in digital marketing to plan, craft and deliver various email campaigns (lead generation, lifecycle, general nurture) to grow Matrix Education. This role will play a key part in driving traffic, generating leads, and building community engagement across multiple channels.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on both strategic thinking and getting into the weeds: crafting emails, building journeys, launching tests, and learning from results.

 

What you’ll do…

  • Drive automated email campaigns in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) for lead nurturing, onboarding and retention.
  • Manage the day to day planning, creation and scheduling of promotional email marketing campaigns.
  • Continually optimise automation flows based on performance and user behavior.
  • Segment and target audiences using Automation Studio, Email Studio, and relevant SFMC tools.
  • Develop structured A/B and multivariate testing plans for subject lines, email content, CTAs, send times, and journeys.
  • Analyse campaign performance metrics to draw actionable insights.
  • Write, design, and build email templates using SFMC’s content builder.
  • Ensure compliance with email best practices (deliverability, unsubscribe, Spam Act etc).
  • Work closely within the marketing team to define KPIs and interpret performance.
  • Translate journey and campaign performance into insights that shape future strategy and investment.
  • Manage subscriber data including list hygiene, segmentation, and syncing with Salesforce CRM.

What you’ll need…

  • 3+ years of professional email marketing or digital media experience, agency or in-house.
  • Strong experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Content Builder.
  • A thorough understanding of all facets of email marketing and lead nurturing, from list health and deliverability through to creative implementation and automation.
  • Ability to design and build emails (HTML + visual builder) and collaborate on content and creative.
  • Results-driven with exceptional detail and knowledge around metrics, specifically A/B testing and ROI analysis.
  • Great copywriting skills – from subject lines that increase the open rates, telling stories in emails to make people read them and compelling call-to-actions.
  • Understand the most important metrics to measure the efficiency of their email campaigns.
  • Demonstrated experience running complex, multi step journeys and A/B testing.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing, Media or Journalism.

Nice to have…

  • Experience working in the education, eCommerce, or B2C services space.
  • Knowledge of SQL for SFMC, or dynamic content scripting.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and how it integrates with SFMC.
