Social Media Marketing Specialist

Matrix Education is now hiring a Social Media Marketing Specialist to join us at our Sydney CBD head office.

As the Social Media Marketing Specialist, you will use your experience and expertise in digital marketing to grow Matrix Education’s social media presence by planning, creating, and executing high performing content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn.

The role combines content strategy, trend responsiveness, and in platform execution to drive engagement and follower growth in line with our brand and value proposition.

What you’ll do…

  • Develop and implement social media strategy aligned to business and brand goals.
  • Plan and manage a content calendar at least 1–2 months in advance.
  • Create and publish engaging content, including: short-form video, static posts and stories and crafting captions and post copy.
  • Film, edit and produce content using tools like CapCut.
  • Monitor platform trends and rapidly respond with relevant content.
  • Engage with community and manage basic moderation where needed.
  • Track and report on key metrics, including follower growth and engagement.
  • Conduct organic social media analytics and reporting to optimise performance.

What you’ll need…

  • 3+ years of commercial social medial or digital content experience.
  • Proven track record managing branded content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • Skilled in video editing and content production.
  • Strong copywriting and captioning ability, with experience in using AI tools (like ChatGPT) to enhance efficiency.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to forward plan and multi task.
  • Demonstrated success in social and content marketing and implementing content marketing strategies.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and communicate metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Passionate about social media and always up to date with platform trends.
  • Proactive and self directed; able to spot and seize content opportunities.
  • Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally with diverse teams.
  • Bachelor qualification in Marketing, Communications, Media or related studies.
