Creative and Brand Lead

Matrix Education is now hiring a Creative and Brand Lead to join us at our Sydney CBD head office.

 

As the Creative and Brand Lead, you will be responsible for leading and shaping Matrix’s brand across all aspects, from strategy to execution and communication. This role will ensure brand consistency and creative direction while managing internal and external communications.

 

The role combines strategic thinking, creative execution, and cross-functional collaboration to elevate Matrix’s brand presence across various channels.

 

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Enrolments and leading a small team of creative professionals, this role is based out of our fabulous Sydney CBD Head Office.

 

What you’ll do…

  • Develop and execute the overarching brand strategy, ensuring consistent messaging across all communication channels (digital, offline, PR, partnerships, etc.).
  • Lead the creative direction for the brand, crafting a compelling narrative that resonates with students and parents.
  • Ensure alignment of the brand vision with marketing, sales, and communication efforts across teams.
  • Manage subscriber data including list hygiene, segmentation, and syncing with Salesforce CRM.
  • Provide hands on creative direction and guidance to the creative team (social media executives, content writers, designers) on the brand’s visual identity and communication style.
  • Work with the marketing and communications teams to align brand messaging and ensure that all campaigns and communications reflect Matrix’s brand voice.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to produce high quality content, including campaign concepts, social media content, and marketing materials.
  • Liaise with external partners, media agencies, and PR teams to ensure the brand’s external communications are consistent and impactful.
  • Maintain brand guidelines and ensure all internal and external communications adhere to them.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of brand messaging, making adjustments as needed to improve engagement and perception.
  • Lead and mentor a small team which includes a social media executive, content writer, and designers, ensuring alignment with overall brand strategy.
  • Report on brand performance and provide insights to the Head of Marketing and Enrolments to inform future strategy and creative decisions.

What you’ll need…

  • Proven experience in brand strategy, creative direction, or a similar role (at least 4-5 years).
  • Strong understanding of brand management, creative execution, and strategic communication.
  • Experience leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, content writers, and marketing teams.
  • A portfolio or examples of successful brand campaigns you have led or contributed to.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Exceptional leadership qualities and project management skills.
  • Hands-on, can-do approach to address problems and constantly challenge the status quo.
  • Self-motivated, flexible and an adaptable strategic problem solver who is capable of seeing the bigger picture and orchestrating projects from brief to completion.
