Matrix OC Test tutoring teachers deliver a structured and engaging learning experience through instructional and interactive teaching.
Program
Yes, the Matrix OC Test tutoring course covers every aspect of the OC Test thoroughly. The course is a 12 month program that comprehensively covers each section of the test. Each term focuses on one specific section of the test to 48 critical thinking skills for OC exam success.
No. Thinking skills is one of the sections of the Opportunity Class Placement Test which evaluates students’ critical thinking abilities in these sections:
- Reading (or verbal reasoning)
- Mathematical reasoning
- Thinking skills (involving spatial and logical reasoning)
The Matrix OC Test Preparation course teaches students critical thinking skills for each of these areas.
Students should start preparing at least 12 months before the July Opportunity Class Test to thoroughly cover all sections of the test. At Matrix, Year 3 students start their OC preparation course in July each year to develop mastery in all three sections of the test.
If your child has missed any module of the term course, they can catch up using the online course.
On Campus Course
Each OC Test tutoring session is 90 minutes long and consists of Theory, Application and Guided Exam Practice.
All Matrix classes seat a maximum of 15 students arranged in U-shape formation to support an interactive and engaging student learning environment.
Matrix provides students access Online Theory Lesson Videos for missed lessons and revisions. The video lessons are easy to follow and paired with the Matrix Theory Book.
Matrix+ Online Courses
Matrix+ is an online course consisting of video lessons paired with Matrix Theory Books. It’s accessible, more affordable and flexible compared to Matrix On-Campus courses. It’s an effective learning option if you prefer to learn at your own pace.
No, you can learn at any time. Matrix+ lessons are pre-recorded to ensure the highest quality delivery for all types of learners! Our detailed video lessons allow you to view and follow the lesson at your own pace – pause, replay, or speed up videos for an on-demand learning experience.
Matrix students enrolled in the OC Test Preparation courses will be able to access Theory Lesson Videos, Q&A Discussion Boards, and online resources until the end of the OC Test date.
Matrix Theory Books will be mailed to your delivery address via Australia Post.
