Overview
The Matrix Year 5 English Holiday Writing Intensive prepares students for the demands of Stage 3 writing while building readiness for Year 6 and the Selective High School Placement Test.
Across four days × two hours, students focus on one writing style at a time, mastering advanced techniques in imaginative, persuasive, informative, and test-focused writing. Lessons combine explicit teaching, model text analysis, and guided practice so students leave with polished pieces and clear strategies to use in future tasks.
Each intake builds on prior skills, while still functioning as a stand-alone program, so students can enrol in one or multiple intensives across the year.
