The Matrix Year 10 Maths Acceleration Course is a high-performance program designed for mathematically gifted students who are ready to move beyond the standard school curriculum. Across 9 weekly 3-hour lessons each term, students complete the full Year 11 Mathematics Extension 1 syllabus while in Year 10, giving them a decisive head start for senior success.
By mastering advanced algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus concepts early, students enter assessments with greater confidence and clarity. This acceleration pathway also prepares students to sit the HSC Mathematics Advanced or Extension 1 exams ahead of schedule, building strong foundations for Extension 2 in later years.

The Year 10 Maths Acceleration Course is designed for mathematically talented students who want to extend their learning and gain a clear academic advantage. It is ideal for students who meet one or more of the following:
Entry Requirement
To make sure every student is learning at the right pace and is challenged appropriately, all students complete an entry test before joining the Maths Acceleration Course.
Application Process
1. Submit an Application
Complete the online application form and provide your child’s recent school report or relevant documents.
2. Book the Entrance Test
Within 48 hours, our Customer Experience Team will contact you to schedule your child for the next available Maths Acceleration Entrance Test (tests run every 2 weeks).
3. Receive Results and Next Steps
After the test, our Academic Team reviews your child’s performance and will contact you within 7 days with the results and next steps for enrolment.
