Matrix’s HSC English Standard Trial Exam Prep course runs for 6 lessons over one week. Students revise all Year 12 HSC topics and focus on exam-style questions to help them prepare for the HSC trial exam.

The Year 12 English Standard Holiday Accelerated course runs for 9 lessons over two weeks and focuses on a specific Module*. This condensed, structured format provides students with a strategic head start, maximising continued learning and retention while freeing up term time for ongoing revision.

The Term course is identical to the holiday course but develops skills gradually across several weeks, allowing time for deeper learning, regular practice, and steady improvement.

*In the final term (Matrix Term 4) and holiday course (July), students complete the HSC Trial Exam Preparation course instead of Modules.

The English Standard HSC Trial Prep course is available during the July holidays at our Chatswood and Parramatta campuses. Course dates and locations for September will be confirmed closer to the start date.

Matrix+ is an online Year 12 English Standard tutoring course consisting of on-demand Theory Lesson Videos paired with a Matrix Theory Book shipped to your home. It is a flexible, accessible, affordable, and self-paced alternative to Matrix on-campus tutoring.

While both courses allow the flexibility to learn anytime, anywhere, the online HSC Trial Prep Course is intended for students revising all Year 12 HSC modules. It focuses on exam-style questions to help students prepare for the HSC exam over six theory lesson videos. In contrast, other Matrix+ courses cover an entire module in depth over nine theory lesson videos. Students can also take multiple Matrix+ courses, allowing for curated revision.
