Head of Digital Product

Matrix Education is now hiring a Head of Digital Product to lead the evolution of our online learning product, Matrix+. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of product, technology, and education. It combines strategic ownership with hands-on building.

You’ll own both the product experience and commercial performance of Matrix+, shaping how students learn in digital and hybrid environments. You’ll report directly to the CEO, work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and have regular Board level exposure. You will have significant influence over the direction of product, technology, and AI across the business.

What you’ll do…

  • Product experience
    • Own the end-to-end student and parent experience across digital touchpoints, including funnel/lifecycle metrics and NPS
    • Drive the full product lifecycle from discovery through launch, iteration, and improvement
    • Partner closely with Technology and Academic teams to deliver best-in-class learning experiences, and the Marketing and Customer Experience to ensure a seamless customer journey
  • Commercial ownership
    • Take ownership of Matrix+ growth, including enrolments, revenue, and unit economics
    • Partner with Marketing team to drive acquisition and improve conversion; and with the Academic and Customer Experience teams to drive retention
    • Build clear reporting and insights for the CEO and Board
  • Strategy and innovation
    • Define the long-term product vision and roadmap
    • Identify and test new opportunities across digital learning and AI
    • Rapidly prototype new ideas and bring the best into production
  • Internal AI advocacy
    • Stay at the forefront of ed-tech and AI trends to lead thinking on how AI can transform learning and internal workflows
    • Partner with teams to implement high-impact AI solutions
    • Build internal capability and excitement around AI tools

 

What you’ll need…

  • 8+ years in digital product management (ideally in consumer, education, or high-growth environments)
  • Proven track record of shipping products and driving measurable outcomes
  • Experience linking product decisions to commercial performance
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Degree in business, technology, design, or similar (or equivalent experience)
  • Hands-on experience experimenting with AI tools (e.g. Claude Code, Cursor, or similar)
  • A genuine builder mindset; you prototype, test, and explore ideas yourself
  • Clear perspective on how AI can reshape products and workflows
