Social Media Marketing Specialist

Matrix Education’s Marketing team is hiring a Social Media Marketing Specialist to join us at our Sydney CBD head office.

As a Social Media Marketing Specialist , you will use your experience and expertise in digital marketing to plan and execute engaging content across our social channels to build brand awareness. This role will play a key part in driving traffic, generating leads, and building community engagement across multiple channels.

The role reports to the Head of Marketing and works closely with a skilled team of digital marketers, where you’ll have the opportunity to learn, grow, and collaborate across different areas.

What you’ll do…

  • Work with the greater Marketing Team to plan, develop and implement digital marketing strategies across multiple channels.
  • Plan, execute, and optimise paid campaigns to maximise ROI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, content, and sales, to deliver high quality designs and content and ensure cohesive brand messaging.
  • Manage and execute organic and paid social media campaigns across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok).
  • Create, curate, and schedule engaging content (text, images, videos) that aligns with brand messaging and is tailored for each platform.
  • Engage with followers to foster community engagement and respond to social media interactions in a timely manner.
  • Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of social media campaigns.
  • Stay updated on social media trends, tools, and best practices to enhance social media presence.
  • Conduct organic social media analytics and reporting to optimise performance.

What you’ll need…

  • 3+ years of commercial digital marketing experience.
  • High level of expertise and hands-on experience with Meta Ads, Google Ads, Google Analystics and Salesforce Marketing Cloud to execute and manage campaigns effectively.
  • Demonstrated success in social and content marketing and implementing content marketing strategies.
  • Ahead of the curve in recognising and building audiences in new social media platforms.
  • Exceptional copywriting and written communication skills, with experience in using AI tools (like ChatGPT) to enhance efficiency.
  • Detail-orientated and strives for a high degree of precision.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and communicate metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Effective organisational skill and process driven.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Canva for designing engaging visuals, social media posts and marketing materials, in alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Bachelor qualification in Marketing, Communications, Media or Journalism or related studies.

Nice to have…

  • Experience in the education sector, particularly in the tutoring industry.
  • Start-up experience with a versatile range of skills.
  • Familiarity with marketing CRM’s (Salesforce, HubSpot, Mailchimp etc) and PPC tools (GoogleAds).
  • Google Ads or Meta Blueprint certifications.
