Overview
The Matrix Year 11 Maths Acceleration Course is a high-performance program designed for mathematically gifted students who are ready to move beyond the standard school curriculum. Across 9 weekly 3-hour lessons each term, students complete the full Year 12 Mathematics Extension 1 syllabus while in Year 11, allowing them to complete the Year 12 Maths Advanced and Year 12 Maths Extension 1 HSC exams a year early. This frees up time during Year 12 for students to focus on other subjects.
The program provides expert explanations, guided practice, and targeted feedback that deepen understanding and strengthen exam technique. To make sure every student is learning at the right pace and is challenged appropriately, all students complete an entry test before joining the Maths Acceleration Course.
Application Process
1. Submit an Application
Complete the online application form and provide your child’s recent school report or relevant documents.
2. Book the Entrance Test
Within 48 hours, our Customer Experience Team will contact you to schedule your child for the next available Maths Acceleration Entrance Test (tests run every 2 weeks).
3. Receive Results and Next Steps
After the test, our Academic Team reviews your child’s performance and will contact you within 7 days with the results and next steps for enrolment.
