It’s a full-length, grade-calibrated mock test designed by Matrix teachers to reflect the actual Selective School Placement Test. It covers all four components and is sat under real test conditions.

Yes. Year 5 students sit mock exams calibrated to their grade, ensuring the content is age-appropriate and aligned with the actual test format.

The Selective School mock test runs for approximately 2 to 2.5 hours, depending on your child’s grade. Students will be given a short break between each section of the test.

The Matrix Selective School Mock Test is completed on paper. While the official Selective School Placement Test is conducted online, we use a paper format to ensure students are assessed without the risk of technical issues or unfamiliar digital interfaces. This allows us to provide a more accurate, distraction-free measure of their readiness.

The Matrix Selective School Mock Test and personalised readiness report are free. There’s no obligation to enrol in a course afterwards.

You’ll receive a detailed breakdown of your child’s performance across the test components, including their strengths, areas to improve and suggested next steps.

Yes. After the test, you’ll be offered a free academic consultation with a subject-matter expert who will walk you through the report and provide personalised advice.
