Matrix Acceleration students:

Entry into the acceleration program is by application only, and the main intake is Year 6 students commencing Year 7 Term 1 in October.

Program Pathways: Year 6 to Year 10

Year 7 Maths Acceleration (Term 1 commences October Year 6)

  • Complete each term’s content before it’s taught at school

  • Master Stage 4 foundations including Algebra, Geometry, and Pythagoras early

  • Build confidence for selective pathways and future extension Maths

Format: 9 × 1.5 hour weekly lessons

Frequently asked questions

This course is designed for academically advanced students who are working at or above grade level in Mathematics and are ready to be challenged beyond the school grade curriculum.

All students must complete a short entry test to ensure the course matches their ability and learning needs.

This course is for students who have a strong Maths foundation and have covered all topics from previous terms. Students who have completed the Matrix Maths program previously will be equipped with the knowledge and skills.

Each lesson is built on the prior content covered in the program. If a student has missed a previous term or any classes, we recommend they complete the Matrix+ Online course to catch up and cover all content.
