Year 4 Tutoring at Matrix

Matrix Education runs one term ahead of the NSW curriculum to give Year 4 students an academic advantage. The new academic year starts in September each year, starting with our Holiday Courses. By learning school content in advance, students build stronger foundational knowledge and feel more confident during class and assessments. This approach improves performance and reduces school-related stress.

Matrix Year 4 courses are taught by experienced educators—not university students or past high school graduates. All Matrix teachers are subject matter experts who follow a structured curriculum designed in line with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) syllabus. This ensures consistency and quality in every lesson.

Matrix offers Year 4 tutoring in:

  • English – Reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and writing
  • Maths – Number concepts, operations, patterns, and problem-solving
  • OC Test Preparation – Thinking Skills, Reading Skills, and Mathematical Reasoning

Courses are available as weekly term programs and intensive holiday courses at Matrix campuses, and as flexible, self-paced Matrix+ online learning.

In Year 4 English, Matrix students focus on improving reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, and creative writing. Lessons are supported by detailed theory books, weekly quizzes, and writing practice activities aligned with the NSW English syllabus.
