All Matrix courses are designed by subject matter experts and aligned with NSW and VIC school syllabuses.
The Matrix term courses begin the week of, or the week prior to, the school term. The Matrix term course runs for 9 weeks, with a 10th week available for postponed classes.
Our holiday courses run for two weeks every school holiday. In January, this is typically the two weeks before the Matrix term begins.
Students can enrol in Matrix+, our online course, at any time.

Matrix offers on-campus term group tutoring, with a maximum classroom capacity of 15 students. We provide structured courses with in-house resources that cover every aspect of the syllabus. Students learn from an experienced teacher who provides tailored support and feedback. Year 7 – 12 students can book complimentary one-to-one workshops for additional help, or use AskMax, our AI chatbot. Term classes are 1.5 hours for Year 3 – 11 students* and 3 hours for Year 12 students.
We also offer on-campus holiday group tutoring. Year 3 – 10 students attend 4-day, 2-hour skills courses. Year 11 and 12 students complete an entire term’s content before it’s taught at school, through 5 or 9-day, 3-hour courses. Exam preparation courses for OC, Selective, and HSC trials can increase to a maximum of 6 hours per day.
*Year 9 and 10 Maths Acceleration, Year 11 Maths Advanced, and Year 11 Maths Extension 1 classes are 3 hours.
Matrix+ allows students to learn at their own pace, anytime, anywhere, through pre-recorded theory lesson videos created by our expert teachers. Students have the flexibility to complete multiple courses in the same subject at the same time, allowing them to revise past-term content or accelerate their progress. Year 7 – 12 students are supported through a monitored discussion board and AskMax, our AI built in-house.
Students have access to Matrix+ until their exam date (OC, Selective, and the HSC), or 31 December of the Matrix academic year. For example, students enroled in a Matrix+ course for Term 1 (beginning in October) will have access until the end of the following calendar year.
Matrix teachers deliver a structured and engaging tutoring experience through a mix of direct instructional and interactive teaching. On-campus students receive:
Student progress is tracked through weekly homework review, classroom participation, and performance in quizzes and topic tests. Teachers provide verbal and written feedback in-class. Parents can view student progress on our Matrix Learning Management System (LMS).
Year 3 – 6 students have a Progress Check-in every 3 weeks to track their learning. Parents will also receive a report of their progress.
If a Year 7 – 12 student needs extra help, they can get instant academic support via our AI-powered chatbot or attend optional workshops for personalised guidance.
Students attending on-campus term classes gain access to Matrix theory tutorial videos on our Matrix Learning Management System (LMS), which contains the same content covered in class. Videos are paired with the student’s theory book, allowing them to review lessons at home and return to class prepared.
To enrol into our on-campus or online courses, complete our online enrolment form.
Yes. Students can enrol in a Term course until the end of the third week of the Matrix term. Enrolment fees are adjusted proportionally, based on the number of remaining classes.
Due to the short duration of the holiday courses, only Year 11 & 12 students can join after the class starts, on Day 2.
Online students can enrol at any time.
For on-campus term tutoring courses, students must commit to at least one term (9 weeks). For holiday courses, this is the period of the classes (4 days to 2 weeks). Online courses are non-refundable.
New on-campus term and holiday students can enrol with confidence. If your child is not happy after their first lesson, you can disenrol and receive a full refund. All you have to do is let us know and return your child’s books to campus before the second lesson.
Yes. New students can experience a free trial of each subject with no upfront payment. Free trials are available for on-campus term classes. If you decide not to continue after your first lesson, you won’t be charged or have any obligation to continue.

Pricing varies depending on the course format:
Matrix Education tuition fees are charged by direct debit via Visa or Mastercard. Payments can be made monthly (3 instalments) or quarterly (1 instalment). We do not accept American Express, cash, or bank transfer.
