Stage 4 English Course Details

English Holiday Courses focus on building the ability to read, analyse and then respond to texts.

At school, the curriculum is so crowded that it is sometimes not possible to focus on the specific skills needed to read a text for meaning, and then unpack what specific stylistic choices the author made to create the text. This is a vital first step in success across English at all grades.

Reading for understanding is the first step to then being able to analyse texts and respond. The students will then use their understanding of the text to write both creatively and critically.

All of these are vital English skills that build success and make assessment tasks easier. The skills are transferable and the building blocks of studying any and all types of texts in English.
